The enhanced diagnostics are designed to provide a rapid method of identifying misbehaving devices or poor connections before they can disrupt processes. The new version has features that allow identification of common plant floor Ethernet problems, such as broadcast storms or intermittent ARPing; duplicate addresses; poor or failing connections; and misbehaving devices.
