IIoT, Industrie 4.0

Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) refers to the interconnected sensors, instruments and other devices networked together with industrial applications for manufacturing and process industries. This allows for data collection and sharing, as well as analytics. Industry 4.0 (or Industrie 4.0 in German) is a framework, from the German organization Plattform Industrie 4.0, designed to accelerate German companies through the fourth industrial revolution.
