Winnebago pauses production lines

Motor-home manufacturer Winnebago Industries Inc. will shut down most of its production lines for a week beginning Monday.

Motor-home manufacturer Winnebago Industries Inc. will shut down most of its production lines for a week beginning Monday, the result of a slowdown in sales. Low consumer confidence and a tough consumer-loan environment are the two main factors that affect business, the Forest City, Iowa, company said. The shutdown at the comopany’s factories in Iowa will affect most of the company’s 3,000 workers.
