Technology consultancy BearingPoint reports deployment of Oracle Demantra Demand Management to improve the strategic planning and forecasting functions at San Diego-based Kyocera Wireless . Demantra is set to replace Kyocera’s manual process for planning and forecasting, improve accuracy, maintain a better audit trail, generate consistent enterprisewide reports and spreadsheets, and create one source of data for forecasting and planning.
Demantra’s automated analytics can quickly generate accurate forecasts and turn them into consensus plans without the need of advanced statistical expertise.
“In less than four months, BearingPoint helped us replace our manual, spreadsheet-forecasting processes with a state-of-the-art planning process,” says Todd Huffine, senior director of IT for Kyocera. “The integrated process now provides better communication of forecast information and faster development and modification of sales and operating plans.”
As part of the engagement, BearingPoint also worked with Kyocera to put in place a streamlined user interface, online forecast measurement tools, and automated change tracking capabilities.
