The SOX2 Combustion Check standalone tool measures flue gas %O2, temperature and calculates %CO2 and % excess air. The instrument tests natural gas, oil #2 and propane, and switches among them with the push of a button. The differentiation between fuel types provides a more accurate calculation of %CO2. The instrument measures %O2 and stack temperature by inserting the included pump and the high-temperature thermocouple into the flue. It then calculates the resulting %CO2 and excess air present during combustion.
