EnPro Industries, Inc., a manufacturer of engineered industrial products, announced Wednesday the acquisition of Allwest Compressor Services, a privately-held manufacturer of compressor components located in Western Canada. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Allwest manufactures and services compressor-related parts and components for the natural gas and oil production industries, including compressor pistons and rods, piston rings and rider bands, and compressor valves. In addition, Allwest offers reconditioning services for reciprocating compressor components.

The operations of Allwest and its 36 employees will be managed as part of France Compressor Products. Allwest will continue to manufacture and market its products from its current facilities in Medicine Hat and Lac La Biche, Alberta, Canada.

“Allwest is an excellent complement to our France Compressor Products business unit,” said Ernie Schaub, president and CEO of EnPro. “The acquisition gives us access to an active market and strengthens an important product line.”
