The EDS-P308 Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) unmanaged eight-port smart Ethernet switch supplies up to 15.4 W of power per port (ports 1-4) at 48 Vdc. PoE technology eliminates the need for power outlets when deploying Ethernet-enabled devices. The switch includes four 10/100BaseT(X)/PoE combination ports; four 10/100BaseT(X) ports; and an auto-sensing algorithm that enables the switch to provide power to only IEEE802.af devices. Combining network signal and device power in an Ethernet connection increases mobility and simplifies wiring.
