August 10, 2014

The EDR-810 industrial multiport router from Moxa received Class 1, Div. 2 hazardous location certification from United Laboratories (UL). This qualifies it for safe use in oil and gas refineries, offshore platforms, fueling stations, and other areas containing ignitable concentrations of volatile liquids, gases or vapors. The EDR-810 has a Firewall/NAT/VPN and managed Layer 2 switch functions. It is designed for Ethernet security applications in sensitive remote control or monitoring networks, and provides an electronic security perimeter for the protection of critical cyber assets. The EDR-810’s "WAN Routing Quick Setting" allows for industrial users to set up WAN and LAN ports to create a routing function automatically. It also gives engineers a way to configure the firewall filtering function with general automation protocols.
