Condition-monitoring system for diverting shaft currents

The Smart Ground Monitor is a condition-monitoring system that provides users with instant feedback on the performance of the current diverter ring (CDR) in diverting shaft currents away from the bearings to ground. The monitor provides a leading indicator of CDR performance. A simple interface alerts users in real time if there is not optimal contact between grounding brushes and the shaft, preventing bearing failure. If contact has been interrupted, routine maintenance can be performed to return shaft grounding to peak performance. The Smart Ground Monitor has external ports for safe and convenient oscilloscope readings and can be set up in standalone or auto mode for performance indication.
