Avantis.PRO certified for Vista

Avantis.PRO enterprise asset management software has passed the Certified for Windows Vista test. The certification procedure is designed to ensure compliance with deployment and operating requirements defined by Microsoft.

The Avantis unit of Invensys Process Systems announced that its Avantis.PRO enterprise asset management software has passed the Certified for Windows Vista test. Conducted by Veritest, the certification procedure is designed to ensure compliance with deployment and operating requirements defined by Microsoft.

“This (certification) helps customers reduce the complexity and risk of deploying and managing solutions that support their evolving corporate PC infrastructures,” said Brendan Young, director of development for Avantis. “Furthermore, Windows Vista provides increased data security to help comply with our customers’ changing corporate security requirements, and the interface of Windows Vista provides an opportunity for improved productivity for Avantis.PRO EAM software users.”

Avantis.PRO EAM software is part of Invensys’ overall asset performance management strategy, which is designed to help manufacturers balance asset availability and utilization to achieve business objectives.
