Apatar, Inc., a provider of open source software tools for the data integration market, this week announced a technology and marketing alliance with EnterpriseDB , an Oracle-compatible database company. Under the alliance, Apatar will support EnterpriseDB’s Postgres-based database products as both sources and targets of data integration initiatives.
“We are pleased to see leading integration providers like Apatar delivering EnterpriseDB-based data integration solutions,” said Bob Zurek, CTO of EnterpriseDB. “These solutions will offer real value to customers requiring a range of data and application integration capabilities.”
Apatar enables users to link information in EnterpriseDB databases with information in other databases (such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle), files (Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, CSV/TXT files), applications (Salesforce.com, SugarCRM), and Web 2.0 destinations (Flickr, Amazon S3, RSS feeds). With Apatar’s visual toolset, EnterpriseDB users can perform complex data integration jobs without having to write code.
Apatar will provide support, training, and consulting services to assist EnterpriseDB customers in achieving their data integration objectives.
