BS Chemical Engineering, University of California, Davis
Stacey believes there is no greater joy than seeing something improved, whether it is a raw material turned into a more valuable product or process or new and improved software. After receiving a bachelor’s from UC Davis, she became an engineer in order to take part in adding value to the world. She has been working in the industry since the age of 18 and has rapidly progressed from a manufacturing floor operator to the manager of the automation engineering department. At BioMarin, Stacey is a recognized leader in finding root causes to long-standing system issues. She has led BioMarin’s automation system effort. Her innovative view of automation has bridged the gap between automation and various departments including manufacturing, IT, and facilities management. Stacey makes time to help undergraduates and young professionals hone in on opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry. When she is not mentoring young engineers and working on improving BioMarin’s systems, you can find her broadcasting on KF6WIM. She has held a Registered Amateur Radio license since 1999. Stacey is also a big Disney fan. You can find her sporting a Disney shirt every Friday.
