Ben finds the world of automation fascinating. After graduating from Northwest Iowa Community College, he began working in the industry to grow his technical expertise. He has been with Interstates for 15 years, starting out as an Applications Programmer. Currently, he is a Lead Control Systems Analyst. In this role, he is dedicated to providing customers with the best technology in their facilities. To do so, he closely follows new industry trends in order to identify those which may add value to both new and existing clients. Ben has led projects all over the world including in Bangkok and in Mexico. Naturally, his love of innovative technologies and automation extends to his home life as well; he currently employs energy-saving and home automation technologies. He shared his passion by writing several articles and blogs geared toward an engineering audience. When Ben is not working, he enjoys mud runs and indoor rowing. He is currently close to passing the 2-million meters rowed mark.
