Cargill is extending its use of Informance manufacturing intelligence solutions to include its Dressings, Sauces and Oils North America (DSONA) business unit. The “DSO” group will use Informance Process Edition to enhance control in its process lines. The company also leverages the Informance Discrete Edition and the Informance Enterprise Solution to accelerate manufacturing performance across many plant sites throughout the U.S.
The “DSONA” business unit of Cargill offers a range of food ingredients and value-added services for food manufacturers around the world and is a recognized leader in producing safe, consistent, economical food ingredients. Together with Informance, the Cargill Dressings, Sauces & Oils team will focus on some of the unique challenges that process manufacturers face in order to boost performance, using Informance Process Edition for real-time analysis of process variables and equipment conditions.
“Informance has a proven track record of delivering results in this industry, and for other Cargill business units,” comments Steve Rieke, vice president of Operations for Cargill DSONA. “We can build on that success and continue to exceed our customers’ expectations for quality and service while achieving our operational and financial objectives.”
Informance, a leader in Enterprise Manufacturing Intelligence (EMI) solutions, offers the Informance Process Edition to help manufacturers boost process manufacturing performance through real-time analysis of process variables and equipment conditions. The solution boosts manufacturing performance by providing access to real-time performance issues to plant staff — enabling them to react and minimize the impact of problems as they occur.
“We are honored to continue working with Cargill and we maintain our strong commitment to helping them build on their manufacturing excellence through ongoing performance improvements,” said Sunil Singh, CEO and president of Informance International. “We believe that manufacturers that take a real-time approach to key performance indicators (KPI) achieve greater manufacturing control and quickly improve operating efficiencies, so that they can continue to deliver outstanding value.”
