2016 Engineering Leader Under 40: Trent Moore, 38

Moore is a 2000 graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He served as a U.S. Army Officer from 2000 to 2005, including a tour of duty in Iraq. Upon discharge from the Army, Moore joined an engineering firm as a project engineer, earning his PMP certification, and quickly rising several to become director/chief engineer for material handling. In 2013, Moore and a group of 30 like-minded individuals came together to establish a Southeastern office for The Dennis Group LLC. In addition to ongoing project management, design, and business development responsibilities, Moore and the team have created a strategy that has positioned the venture to double in size again in the next 3 years. Prominent clients throughout the food and beverage industry recognize The Dennis Group as a thought leader, frequently requiring their leadership for their most challenging packaging projects. Moore enjoys home improvement, fishing, and maintaining the farm he owns in the Midwest. Married to a German national, Moore is a frequent European traveler. Raising children in a multicultural environment is important to Moore and his wife, who work hard to expose their family to all facets of their parents’ heritage.
