About the Top Plant program
The Plant Engineering Top Plant award recognizes manufacturing plants that achieve outstanding operational results through application of engineering disciplines. More specifically, Top Plant seeks to:
- Identify plants that achieve operational excellence,
- Identify best practices in plant management, and

Entry form
All entries must be submitted using the official electronic entry form available at www.plantengineering.com/top-plant. All required information on the entry form must be provided. An incomplete form or a form providing misleading or false information will result in disqualification. An authorized representative of the nominated facility must complete the entry form verifying all information.
Users are able to review their entered information prior to submitting the form. Upon submittal, the user is redirected to the Plant Engineering website to log-in and pay the processing fee. If payment is not received, entry will be void. See Entry fee for more information. Users will receive a confirmation email upon submission with a PDF copy of their entry for their records. If any correction need to be made to an entry after submission, contact Amanda McLeman at amcleman@cfemedia.com.
Eligibility requirements
All manufacturing or processing facilities are eligible to apply for recognition. Recognition will be given to individual plant sites, not to companies, divisions, or departments. A plant site receiving Top Plant recognition may not reapply the following year.
Entry fee
The processing fee (i.e. entry fee) for the Top Plant program is $495.00. If payment is not received, entry will be void. Only credit card payments are accepted; Plant Engineering will not invoice or bill entrants for the Top Plant program. If you experience an issue when trying to pay the fee online, email Amanda McLeman at amcleman@cfemedia.com. A receipt will be automatically sent to the email address provided when logging into the website immediately after payment has been captured. If payment is not received by the nomination deadline, entry will be null and void. No refunds will be issued; no exceptions.
