Karen Griffin

A graduate in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University, Griffin serves as Hargrove’s Controls + Automation vice president and managing member representative of Tormod, an Asset Life Cycle Management company. She leads a Team of 130 automation engineers and specialists who focus on digital transformation, implementing DCS/PLC process controls, robotics, industrial IT system integration, and safety-instrumented systems as well as panel fabrication. Griffin has served as MAC program sponsor, senior project manager, and controls and automation engineer for the refining, oil and gas, chemicals, and pulp and paper industry. She also served on the owner’s side as a senior process control engineer for a major pulp and paper manufacturer. Griffin sits on the board of directors for the Hargrove Foundation, ECC, CSIA, and Red Cross South Alabama Chapter. She lives in the Mobile, Ala., area with her husband and three children.
