The Oct. 20 Webcast, the third in a four-part series of IIoT informational Webcasts produced by CFE Media, was presented by Alex West and Brian Arbuckle from IHS Markit Research and focused on cybersecurity. During the Webcast, 37.5% of attendees said cybersecurity concerns were their number one reason for not introducing IIoT into their plants. Another 15.6% said while their plant does use IIoT, they do not believe their current cyber security is sufficient.

While 9.3% of attendees have invested in cybersecurity as part of their implementation, another 28% have yet to invest in IIoT, but say cybersecurity is not the reason for that decision.

The archived version of the IIoT Webcast series, including the most recent Webcast, is now available for review at www.plantengineering.com/Webcasts and www.controleng.com/Webcasts.
