The EKI-2741 family of Gigabit industrial Ethernet media converters combine the high speed of Gigabit Ethernet (1,000 Mbps) with the EMI/RFI noise immunity and electrical isolation of fiber optic cable. The EKI-2741SX supports 1000Base-SX fiber connections over multimode fiber up to 1,800 feet. The EKI-2741LX supports 1000Base-LX fiber connections of more than 6.2 miles. The EKI-2741F supports a small form factor pluggable slot for optional industry-standard fiber optic transceiver modules, supporting connections up to nearly 70 miles. All units include Link Fault Pass-through (LFP), which allows cable breaks or power failures to be signaled to attached devices, enhancing network integrity, while simplifying network maintenance and management. The converters are compact and thin DIN-rail mount metal chassis, and are ruggedized for industrial applications with dual 12-48 Vdc power inputs, 4,000 V Ethernet ESD protection, power line surge protection of 3,000 V and feature an operating temperature range of -10-60 C. All modes are UL/CSA, FCC, CE and RoHS/WEEE certified.
