The EK 1501 EtherCAT coupler and EK 1521 junction terminal provide fiber-optic cabling for distances up to 1.24 miles. The terminal system supports all common wiring topology methodologies, such as line, ring, tree and star, and the coupler allows for more topologies through the use of glass fiber technology. Using standard Ethernet cabling, the maximum distance between two I/O stations is 323 feet.
