Catsy has always had a passion for innovation. She born and raised in Hong Kong where cultural diversity has given her a unique understanding of competitive challenge and continuous improvement. During her 13 years with Victaulic, Catsy has been looked at as one of the company’s most valued engineers. In her current role, she serves as a technical leader in developing sealing materials including elastomers, thermoplastics, engineering polymers and polymer composites for Victaulic piping solutions used worldwide. Her recent success includes developing a proprietary fire-resistant gasket for Maritime and Oil & Gas markets. The custom formulated nitrile gasket material being “heart of the joint” is compatible with flammable liquids that are commonly used in pipelines and is capable of ensuring the highest degree of sealing during 1200-1400°F fire for 30 minutes without affecting joint integrity. According to her manager, she is dependable and self-driven, putting her a step ahead of everyone else.
Fun Fact: Catsy has been working with her husband to design an energy-efficient custom home.
