Matthew’s contributions
“Matt is an incredibly hardworking, dedicated, and intelligent employee,” said Lisa Byall, portfolio manager of capital equipment. “His training as a welder gives him a real, hands-on understanding of our products and how they are used, which allows him to help with the development of products that will make a true impact for Lincoln Electric customers. He goes above and beyond the call of duty on a regular basis to develop solutions that will improve the functioning of our customers’ facilities and give them the best results for their needs. He has a real desire to constantly improve, and we are lucky to have him on staff.”

Why a career in manufacturing?
“The desire to obtain specific industry skills led me to pursue a comprehensive understanding of welding techniques. After gaining a hands-on understanding of welding, I decided to focus on the engineering and application of welding processes. I wanted to make a difference in manufacturing plants by helping implement practical solutions, alleviating common misconceptions, and transforming operations. My hands-on experience and engineering background, combined with the opportunity Lincoln Electric has given me to interact with the welding industry on a global level, has positioned me uniquely in accomplishing this goal.”
