Flir, a Teledyne Technologies company, introduced Flir iXX-Series of app-enabled thermal cameras designed to improve inspection tasks for asset condition monitoring, building inspection and related applications. Built on Flir’s new ACE platform, the iXX integrates app functionality with thermography inspection capabilities and connects directly to Flir Assetlink browser-based software, linking radiometric images to an asset hierarchy structure to streamline workflows and enhance data access.
The Flir iXX provides an app-driven platform that simplifies thermal inspections, standardizes data and supports scaling across teams and sites, addressing challenges with traditional thermography programs. The iXX-Series features app-guided workflows that allow maintenance workers of all skill levels to perform inspections. The system includes an onboarding app to support adoption and help users accurately assess asset condition.

The iXX thermal camera works with Flir’s Assetlink browser-based software to plan inspections, link thermal images to asset data, and generate inspection reports, helping simplify workflows and improve asset monitoring. Trend and dashboard visualizations support better understanding of asset condition over time.
The device supports cloud integration via Wi-Fi or LTE (on certain models) for data uploading, organization and sharing. Flir is accredited to ISO 27001, ensuring secure data handling, and the iXX supports secure device management and app deployment.
The Flir iXX-Series is designed for various applications, including electrical and mechanical inspections in manufacturing, industrial, commercial, data center and utility settings, supporting early fault detection and reduced downtime. The cameras can also be used in enterprise condition monitoring programs with asset hierarchies, cloud-based data management, and team collaboration. Additional applications include building diagnostics and facility maintenance, such as moisture detection, HVAC checks and energy loss assessments.
The iXX provides thermal images at up to 480 × 640 resolution with Flir MSX enhancement, which overlays visible details on thermal images to aid problem identification. The hardware includes an 8 MP visual camera and a high-resolution touchscreen. All iXX models offer 40 mK NETD thermal resolution and ±2°C (±3.6°F) accuracy.
