The TMZ PC-programmable MODBUS temperature and signal transmitter provides high-input resolution and digital measurement. The unit accepts a direct signal from an array of sensor and analog devices including RTD, thermocouple, resistance, mV, current, voltage and potentiometer. The transmitter converts the input to the standard MODBUS RTU protocol ready for direct interface with MODBUS-based monitoring and control systems. Up to 32 units — without repeaters — can be multidropped onto a single, low-cost communication link. Residing in a metal, RFI-resistant housing, the unit is protected against the effects of ground loops, plant noise and electromagnetic interference.
