Question: What’s a Cookie? A cookie is a small text file written to a folder set up by your web browser on your hard drive. The cookie can contain any variety of information — ours, if you register, contains your user information. This keeps you from having to enter your email address and password each time you visit. If you are not registered, the cookie our server tries to set simply tracks usage activity on the site. We use that information to improve our design and navigation.
Question: Why won’t your registration take my AOL e-mail address? @aol is not a valid email address outside of America On Line. To send mail across the internet, you need to include a valid domain extension (‘.com’), and our registration script is written to detect its presence. If you add the domain extension, you will be able to register, and our newsletters will not bounce back to us.
Question: Why won’t my password work? Make sure you are matching the capitalization you used during registration. Character entry on the email address, password, and challenge response is case sensitive.
Question: How do I change my e-mail address? You can make any changes by returning to our front page, https://www.manufacturing.net and clicking on ‘register free.’ You can then choose to update your information.
