Nidec U.S. MOTORS has introduced a totally enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) 2-pole extension horizontal motor for pump, compressor, fan, blower and conveyor applications in water and wastewater, petroleum, chemical and electric power facilities. The 6800, 7000 and 450 frame motor is available with antifriction ball bearings or RENK sleeve bearings.
The new motor increases the maximum 2-pole horsepower rating to 1100 hp from 800 hp and is offered in multiple frame lengths and shaft heights, including 6808, 6809, 7007, 7008, 450ALM and 450BAL frame sizes. Each frame size is tri-drilled for the rated frame size and two frames smaller to support field replacement of existing motors.
