Power Engineering and Powerstrut.com certified as woman-owned enterprise

Power Engineering and Powerstrut.com announce their recent certification as a woman-owned enterprise. This certification by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Business and Technology lists the company in both the State Office of Minority and Women Business Assistance (SOMWBA) directory and in the Massachusetts Central Registry.

Power Engineering Company, owner of Powerstrut.com, is a supplier to the metal frame channel industry with more than 50 years of experience. Power Engineering Company was founded by Jim Power, who originated the name Power Strut and began manufacturing Power Strut in Framingham, MA in 1950, to compete with Unistrut. The business was moved to Shrewsbury, MA in the early 1970s and was sold to the Cervini family in 1988. Janice (Cervini) McCrohon purchased the business from the family trust in 2002.
