Problem: A glance at the motor on the other side of the room can’t really determine if it is running. Is there a way to quickly see if a distant or inaccessible motor is actually operating?
Solution: Paint half of the pulley, sprocket, coupling, etc. white and the other half black. Even at a distance with poor lighting is it obvious whether the motor is running (it appears as solid gray).
