Toyota manufacturing produces zero waste

The 2007 Toyota Motor Europe Sustainability Report showed that Toyota’s eight European manufacturing facilities achieved zero-waste to landfill status.

The 2007 Toyota Motor Europe Sustainability Report showed that Toyota’s eight European manufacturing facilities achieved zero-waste to landfill status. The division also managed to reduce the amount of energy it uses to produce each car. Toyota lowered the carbon emissions in its production vehicles; however, its absolute emissions rose 10% in fiscal year 2006 due to higher production and sales levels.

Toyota achieved its 2010 goal of the reduction of the water volume used per vehicle produced, and almost reached its 2010 target of volatile organic compounds emissions.
