Siemens PTD lights up Italy

Siemens Power Transmission and Distribution (PTD) has installed solar panels on the façade of a biomass-fired power plant in Rende, Italy.

Siemens Power Transmission and Distribution (PTD) received two orders from Ecosesto, a subsidiary of the Acetlios Group, Milan, for photovoltaic systems in Italy. Siemens will be responsible for the linking to the linking of the local medium-voltage system as part of the turnkey construction.

The first solar project in southern Italy is the size of 1ond photovoltaic project is a fa%%CBOTTMDT%%ade-mounted solar system with a total output of 70-kWp.

Siemens has clad the 30- to 40-meter fa%%CBOTTMDT%%ade of a waste-recycling plant belonging to the Acetelious Group, Trezzo, Italy, with solar modules, and linked the system to the Italian power-supply network. It is the first photovoltaic system of this size to be integrated into a building.
