Pump seal reduces solids

Type 2800EX gas lubricated, noncontacting seals are fitted with an excluder that reduces solids within the seal chamber. The product is capable of handling up to 28% solids. An inert barrier gas is injected into the barrier chamber and a spiral grooved pattern on one sealing face pumps gas toward the ungrooved portion of the face, preventing contact and wear.
