Siemens Energy & Automation announced recently the formation of Safety Integrated U.S.A., an organization that brings together multidimensional safety teams, technology, and products serving both the process and discrete industries. It was formed to maximize Siemens’ proprietary Safety Integrated technology across all U.S. automation product lines, including PLCs, sensors, industrial control products, motion control, and drives.

Products and services for process industries include those for emergency shutdown, burner management, and fire and gas detection systems. Besides programmable safety controllers, products offered for discrete industries include guarding, shutdown, and alarm systems.

The company provides application engineers, safety specialists, and a network of safety solution providers to support the reorganization.
