The Ultimo lithium ion capacitor (LIC) combines battery and ultra capacitor technology to provide high-energy density and high power, with a long-cycle life, a 3.8 V maximum cell voltage and a low self-discharge rate. Ultimo’s low self-discharge rate makes it suited for digital oilfield applications that rely on remote solar-powered sensors. Ultimo’s higher energy density and operating voltage can also combine to reduce the energy storage footprint by up to 65%.
