Survivor encoder unit integrates bearing and sensing functions in a housed unit to reduce maintenance. The compact design eliminates the need for a gear tooth sensor or rotary pulse generator. Simple bolt-on installation requires no extra brackets or couplings, and the air gap can’t get out of adjustment. Outputs can be used by most tachometers, controllers, and PLCs.
