To bring key division management closer to major oil and gas, petrochemical and energy industry customers, ABB announced it is relocating its global Process Automation division headquarters from Norwalk, CT to Houston, effective Aug. 1.
“As part of our ongoing commitment to best serve our customers, we are relocating our global Process Automation division headquarters and management team to Houston,” said Veli-Matti Reinikkala, head of ABB’s Process Automation division. “This will allow us to be closer to the management and operations of some of ABB’s largest customers. This move complements the well-established ABB engineering, service and support teams, which already exist in Houston.”
Some of the nation’s largest oil, gas and petrochemical complexes are located in the nearby Houston Ship Channel. More than 150 industrial companies have headquarters in Houston. “This move also underscores our continued focus on growing our business in the North American market,” Reinikkala said.
