Since his first smoker, he has upgraded to a PID controller and increased his smoking surface area.
Dylan is a loyal Iowa State fan supporting his Alma mater. He enjoys spending time before football games around the grill. He’s shown his dedication by attending five bowl games since his senior year in 2009. Also, he has been to five Big 12 tournaments in Kansas City and thoroughly enjoyed KC BBQ.

Why Dylan chose this career
From a young age, Dylan always loved building things with Technic LEGO sets and progressed into some basic programming with LEGO Mindstorms. This combined with his father being an electrician, he found his love for electrical engineering and programming. Dylan got introduced to automation as a senior at Iowa State and Interstates has allowed him to continue his dreams of building, programming and seeing things come to life!
