Why should this person be recognized for this award?

Kevin has taken a leadership role at ACE in project execution and peer mentoring. Working in one of our smaller offices, Kevin had grown into our go-to person for any out-of-the-box and unusual projects, becoming a subject matter expert that clients rely on. He shares this knowledge with others in the office, strengthening ACE and himself in the process.

Achievements, Advancement & Career-related Industry Contributions

Kevin has been a part of many successful project teams delivering solutions to a wide variety of industries: Pharmaceutical, Food and Beverage, Oil and Gas and Utilities. When Kevin oversees a project, he leads by example. Kevin likes to teach young engineers technical skills as well as people skills. Our job has a lot of customer interaction that can be as important as the technical work. Kevin works with several software platforms: Rockwell Automation, Wonderware, Siemens, APACS and older 352/353 Loop controllers, which allows him to provide integration services to a diverse set of customers. Kevin’s ability to learn and figure out new and old technologies make him a key contributor in his office and is the “go to” for odd-ball projects.

Non-work-related Activities & Hobbies

“I started to learn how to skateboard again. When I was younger, I had a skateboard but was never able to land any tricks. I decided that I was going to get back on a skateboard and try to land a kick flip one day (against the advice of most people saying I am going to injure myself). Slow progression so far, but I will not give up.

Interesting Details

  • Member of the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity.
  • Proud father of a 2-year-old boy.

Why did they choose this career?

“I have always liked computers and engineering but did not really know this career existed until after college. My friend was working for ACE and told me about what he was doing and that I should apply. I did my own research and thought it sounded interesting, so I gave it a shot. I am glad I did because I have found my career very interesting so far getting to work in so many different industries.”
