Senior Project Engineer
MartinCSI, Plain City, Ohio
AS Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Columbus State Community College

Ian, who served honorably in the United States Navy for over 10 years, found his passion for working with electrical systems and mentoring junior personnel. After leaving the Navy Ian earned a degree in electrical engineering. The mentors he had in the military influenced his drive to help others succeed and he enjoys guiding younger engineers and developing employee training programs. Ian’s expertise in machine safety and vision enabled the company to expand its services and become industry leaders. Ian earned TUV Functional Safety Engineer Certification in 2018 and led the charge to build a state-of-the-art in-house proof-of-concept vision lab.

Fun Fact: Ian is afraid of heights, but loves flying in small aircraft and dreams of being a pilot and owning a plane someday.
