2007 Joint Rail Conference set for March 13-16

The 2007 ASME/IEEE Joint Rail Conference will be held March 13-16, 2007, at the Marriott Hotel in Pueblo, CO. The American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers are joint sponsors of the conference, which will bring together engineers, equipment manufacturers, operators, maintenance personnel, and other professionals in the business of passenger and freight rail transportation.

Featuring the theme “Railroad Advancements through Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering,” the multidisciplinary conference will cover a broad range of topics in the industry.

In addition, members of the ASME Internal Combustion Engines Division will contribute presentations on engine design and maintenance, alternative fuels for rail transportation, lubrication and friction and technologies for emissions control.

ASME, IEEE and the American Society of Civil Engineers, which is participating in the conference for the first time, have issued a call for papers to their respective memberships.
