Efficient cooling in all seasons

One (1) Certified Professional Development Hour (PDH) available for all attendees.

The need for an efficient cooling strategy in summer months is obvious—the heat and humidity in a manufacturing plant can create personal health issues as well as create safety concerns for workers. But regardless of the season, managing a comfortable work environment is important, and different strategies—from spot cooling to work cell environments—also should be considered. Join Plant Engineering and Movin Cool to take a look at the issue of plant cooling and understand that it’s not just an issue for certain times in the year.

Learning objectives:

  • Understand the importance of a comfortable work environment on worker health and safety
  • Examine both the statistical and anecdotal data around worker comfort and its impact on productivity.
  • Look at strategies for all seasons, and how cooling equipment can be employed to achieve a variety of goals.
  • Examine different ways to protect workers from heat and environmental dangers while effectively managing energy costs.
