SX80 and SX90 process controllers
Spirax Sarco's SX80 and SX90 process controllers arelow-cost and flexible temperature controllers, offering accurate process control.
The SX80 is a low-cost and flexible temperature controller offering accurate process control. The compact SX80 unit provides a universal process input/output.
The SX90 has been developed for processes that demand a high level of functionality with multiple inputs and outputs. The SX90 provides universal input, three logic inputs, remote set point, potentiometer input, two analogue outputs, valve motor drive output and three relay outputs. Furthermore, the SX90 supports up to five recipe programs, ramping and Modbus RS485 communications.
Both the SX80 and SX90 feature power transmitters for auxiliary instruments. The configurable scrolling text messaging keeps operators informed of their current plant conditions and simplifies menu navigation and commissioning.
Both the SX80 and SX90 feature: power transmitters for auxiliary field instruments, configurable scrolling text messaging, and 5-digital quick start codes for easy set-up and commissioning of the controllers.

Annual Salary Survey
After almost a decade of uncertainty, the confidence of plant floor managers is soaring. Even with a number of challenges and while implementing new technologies, there is a renewed sense of optimism among plant managers about their business and their future.
The respondents to the 2014 Plant Engineering Salary Survey come from throughout the U.S. and serve a variety of industries, but they are uniform in their optimism about manufacturing. This year’s survey found 79% consider manufacturing a secure career. That’s up from 75% in 2013 and significantly higher than the 63% figure when Plant Engineering first started asking that question a decade ago.
