York, PA – Red Lion Controls has introduced the IAMS Series of universal signal conditioners, which are DIN-rail mounted with complete isolation and conversion capability. The universal input can accept RTD, TC, Ohm, potentiometer, mA, V dc, and process input signals, allowing units to connect to most common sensors. A detachable LCD display/programming module with pushbutton programming eliminates the need for DIP switches or PC tethering.

IAMS offers more than 100 possible input-to-output combinations in three models. The setpoint model allows dual setpoint control capability through dual Form A relays. The analog model provides a retransmitted analog signal. The third model provides analog output and relay control capability. The detachable LCD module stores programming from one unit and loads it to a second unit, streamlining setup for multiple installations. When the programming module is not being used, it can remain attached to a module and indicate input parameters, like a panel meter.

“Companies today are trying to reduce the amount of stagnate inventory they have to keep on hand, for just-in-case scenarios,” said Jeff Thornton, product manager at Red Lion Controls . “The IAMS universal signal conditioner makes this a reality by providing the flexibility and capability to replace up to five or six signal-specific modules with a single model, The pushbutton-detachable display allows the signal conditioner to be simply set up and can be used to program multiple units in the same way, greatly reducing configuration time.”

The conditioners provide removable terminal strips for setup across a range of applications. The universal power supply accepts 21.6 to 253 V ac or 19.2 to 300 V dc. The detachable programming display offers guided configuration in seven on-board languages.
