Mitsubishi Electric Automation’s MR-JE servo system, which was displayed and featured at Pack Expo 2014 in Chicago, features one-touch auto-tuning, vibration suppression, machine diagnosis functionality and high tolerance against instantaneous power failures (see photo caption for additional applications). Its auto-tuning function allows the MR-JE servo to be useful for applications that require precise control of servomotors like packaging, labeling, and machine tool applications. It’s also useful for pick-and-place machines. Auto tuning helps servomotors achieve optimal performance and allows the motors to adapt to machine-to-machine variances. Users can turn on the advanced one-touch tuning function to adjust servo gains. In addition to auto tuning, the vibration suppression function also contributes to optimal servo performance, while extending machine life. The MR-JE servo system is designed for OEMs and end users and it can also be used with Mitsubishi Electric’s FX3 series of programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
