Richard E. Ward, executive vice president of professional development, Material Handling Industry of America, recently announced the advancement of Robin Moody to manager of conference programs.

“I am extremely pleased to announce Robin’s promotion. It is a position she has justly earned and one her seven years at MHIA have prepared her for,” Ward said. “The success of our trade event educational seminar program is due largely to her efforts and initiative.”

As manager of conference programs, Moody will further her work in the planning, management and execution of the education content for both the ProMat and NA08 trade events, specifically the keynote forums, workshops and on-floor seminars. She will also continue to assist with the administration of the automatic guided vehicle systems and automated storage and retrieval systems product sections and the Integrated Systems & Controls Council of MHIA.

Moody joined Material Handling Industry in July of 1999, bringing more than 20 years combined administrative, management, sales and service experience. She enjoyed the majority of her career with NCR Corporation’s Systemedia Group in Richmond, VA. As an executive account manager, Moody was responsible for the design and marketing of document management, paper flow and distribution systems in commercial, industrial, medical, education, government, retail, financial and manufacturing accounts.
