The recent Flir InfraMation Conference in Las Vegas brought together some of the best new ideas on infrared thermography and its uses in a variety of ways. A variety of papers presented covered the full range of thermographic uses, including finding people lost at sea and helping keep animals healthy at a zoo in Alaska. The thermographic images of elephants and camels were impressive. On a more practical note for manufacturers, there was an excellent paper presented on how thermography has been used for more than 25 years to keep a Manitoba hydroelectric system up and running safety.
