The 2009 Plant Engineering Manufacturing Summit was a big hit with attendees, but not all of Plant Engineering’s worldwide audience could take advantage of this year’s event.

Now, they can.

Join Plant Engineering and industry experts on June 30, from 10 a.m. EDT to 3 p.m. EDT for the Plant Engineering Virtual Manufacturing Summit. This event is not a typical Webcast; it is a fully interactive virtual event that incorporates online education, learning, live chat, active movement in and out of exhibit booths and sessions, white papers and other collateral resource centers, informative Webcasts and networking opportunities.

In short, it’s all of the experience you might have at the normal trade show, but without any of the tired feet or the travel.

Annual Salary Survey

Before the calendar turned, 2016 already had the makings of a pivotal year for manufacturing, and for the world.

There were the big events for the year, including the United States as Partner Country at Hannover Messe in April and the 2016 International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago in September. There's also the matter of the U.S. presidential elections in November, which promise to shape policy in manufacturing for years to come.

But the year started with global economic turmoil, as a slowdown in Chinese manufacturing triggered a worldwide stock hiccup that sent values plummeting. The continued plunge in world oil prices has resulted in a slowdown in exploration and, by extension, the manufacture of exploration equipment.
