Lion Precision’s CPL230 is a precision capacitive displacement sensor system that features up to six sensors in a small space and is designed for embedded original equipment manufacturer (OEM) applications. The CPL230 sensor system can support up to six channels of capacitive sensing and has resolutions as high as 0.0007% at 100 Hz or 0.004% at 15 kHz. A differential output is provided for situations where output connections must traverse longer distances through machines. The CPL230 has color-coded channels and probes for machine installation. Systems ship with 15 kHz bandwidth. Users can access an internal dip-switch to set the bandwidth to 15 kHz, 10 kHz, 1 kHz, and 100 Hz. The bandwidth selection allows users to opt for higher resolutions or higher speeds. It has a measurement range of 10µm to 12.5 mm and a differential output of ±10V. It has an operating temperature range of 4 to 50 C.
