Schneider Electric’s TeSys U Self-Protected Combination Motor Controllers and Square D TeSys N Self-Protected Combination Motor Controllers offer National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) ratings and designs, combining the latest compact IEC motor control technologies with the robustness and familiar application sizing of NEMA products. The TeSys N Self-Protected Combination Motor Controller is a NEMA combination starter solution designed for full voltage non-reversing and full voltage reversing motor control applications in commercial and industrial buildings. The TeSys N motor controllers are available in a variety of enclosures in NEMA 1, 12/3R and 4/4X environmental ratings. The TeSys N controller also features a large side-mounted safety switch style disconnect handle and a patent-pending hinge assembly that swings the starter out for easy accessibility for labor-saving installation, wiring and maintenance. The UL self-protected designation means performance under short-circuit conditions is outstanding and the current-limiting motor starter is ready to restart immediately after a fault is cleared. TeSys N Combination Motor Controllers can include optional communication modules that connect to a wide variety of networks.

The TeSys U Self-Protected Combination Motor Controller is designed for full voltage non-reversing and full voltage reversing motor control applications installed in industrial facilities and for original equipment manufacturers (OEM). The units are rated per IEC Standards up through 32 amps or 20 horsepower. The controllers are available with space-saving enclosures rated for NEMA 1/12/3R and 4/4X environmental ratings and a rotary disconnect for manually switching and resetting the controller. The TeSys U Combination Motor Controller has the ability to communicate over a wide variety of networks including predictive maintenance alerts collected from multi-function control units.
