Table of the most used Ethernet protocols follow, according to the Control Engineering Ethernet Study, November 2013. See chart of 16 Ethernet protocols from the study. The leading responses were EtherNet/IP, TCP/IP and UDP, Modbus TCP, Profinet, and EtherCAT.
