Mist/smoke eliminator
Exceeding international health and safety standards, including OSHA/NIOSH guidelines, ScandMist uses a three-stage filtration system to separate oil fumes, oil mist and emulsion mist, even under extreme operating conditions and during continuous operation. Air from one or more connected machine tools first passes through two high-efficiency, deep-pleated filter beds, which remove oil mist.
At the third stage, a HEPA filter captures any remaining microscopic levels of oil, along with other contaminants such as bacteria, pollen and spores. Cleaned air can be recirculated into the production area and collected coolant returned to the machine tool. The unit minimizes production downtime, because unlike mist eliminators that use electrostatic precipitation technology, it requires no cleaning.
